With the majority of the club away at the Port Alfred Tri-angular, and two teams away at the Stutterheim tournament, 12 men truned out on a beautifull summers morning.
Two very competetive games of trips was played and the banter was top class.
Sorry Ray Burger.....I have to mention you had a wrong bias !!!!

ONE OF THE BETTER LOOKING DAYS IN A FEW WEEKS MARKS THE START OF THE PORT ALFRED TRIANGULAR ,AS MEMBERS OF OLD BOYS PREPARE TO TRAVEL TO PORT ALFRED . THE NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT TAKES A STEP INTO THE HISTORY BOOKS WITH A STRONG PLAYING AND PARTING TEAM ..WE WISH THE TEAM A SAFE TRIP AND GOOD BOWLING ..WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK ALL THE PEOPLE WHO STEPPED UP TO MAKE UP THIS LARGE SQUAD....
I'm not just involved in bowls, I'm committed..........
Do you know the
difference between involvement and committment ?
Think of bacon and eggs. The Chicken is involved, the Pig is committed.

Purpose: The rocker arm (orange) design eliminates any target ball movement when measuring. It is repeatably accurate to 5-6 thousands of an inch (less than 2 hair widths!!) and due to the "no load lever" will not push a ball away even on a smooth surface.
The Accu-Arm method of measuring is to transfer the target ball readings to the top of the measure where it is easiest to read.
This device can handle target balls from 1" to 2.5" which is the complete range for, Petanque, Bocce and Lawn Bowls.
Due to the inclement weather forecast for the week-end, the Warwick tournament has been cancelled.
